am i the only one who finds this poem a bit creepy?
*****

Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today
I wish that man would go away.

hi oh - I somehow found this post of yours from last summer:
http://tofuji-poetry.blogspot.com/2003_06_22_tofuji-poetry_archive.html

I was, out of sheer boredom, doing an internet search to see if any references to my fake band El Pollo Verde were around [or any of the mp3s we put up on mp3.boston.com when it existed]

anyway, that's one of about 3 poems I ever wrote, and decided to try to put it into song form - but i wanted to ask - how the heck did you get the lyrics, and then, how did you come to find out we had put it up as an mp3?

Wild, man!

hey there!

great poem! i found the online, where perhaps you or one of your bandmates, or maybe even a fan may have posted it. if "blather" means anything to you, then you know where i found it.

as for the mp3, i think i found it one day on bear share. i did a search for it on a whim, and up popped the song. it wasn't quite to my musical taste, so i may have deleted it since then.

if that's only 1 of your 3 poems ever written, you should consider continuing, if only just for fun. :)

if your name isn't hugh mearns then you didn't write that poem, and it's not lyrics to a song. nice try though...

it's also in the movie Identity which came out in 2002.
